Woman charged after stabbing incident

RCMP charged a woman with aggravated assault after a stabbing incident in Eskasoni.
On January 31st, at 8 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at an apartment on Sanwel Paul Blvd. in Eskasoni.
Police learned that two women had been at the apartment when a physical altercation occurred.
RCMP say one of the women sustained injuries resulting from an apparent stabbing.
Police arrested a 35-year-old woman without incident and transported her to the Eskasoni RCMP detachment.
The victim was treated at the scene by EHS and released.
Sarah Rose Denny, 35, of Eskasoni, has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Denny was remanded into custody and will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on February 3rd.
