Over the long weekend, you might have went to the movies.

You probably didn't realize it, but the movie you watched might have had a Cape Breton connection.

Minions: The Rise of Gru has one voice that was recorded in a Cape Breton studio.

Alan Arkin, a part-time Cape Bretoner, taped his voiceover work at Lakewind Studio in Point Aconi.

Arkin has a lead role in the movie.

His character is Wild Knuckles.

Minions: The Rise of Gru made an estimated $125 million in the United States for its four-day opening weekend, according to Universal.
