Two teens arrested after school break-in

RCMP arrested two male youths after a local school was broken into and suffered significant damage.
Police responded to the school on Richard Ave. in Eskasoni on May 3rd around 7:30 a.m.
Staff at the school reported that windows had been smashed and the inside of the school suffered significant damage.
The estimated cost of damage is over $15,000.
RCMP Forensic Identification Services also attended the school to conduct a forensic examination and collect evidence.
Through the investigation, police noted that two people had broken into the school, a 14-year-old male youth and a 13-year-old male youth.
Both were located by RCMP and safely arrested.
Both male youths have since been released on conditions and will be facing charges of break, enter and commit and mischief over $5,000.
The school is expected to be closed for several days as staff works to repair the damage.
