Two drivers charged with stunting

Northeast RCMP Traffic Services charged two drivers with stunting after traffic stops on Hwy. 125.
On March 6th, at approximately 7:20 a.m., while on patrol on Hwy. 125, police observed a vehicle heading west at a high rate of speed.
Police used their radar to confirm the vehicle was travelling at 180 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone.
A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle was pulled over.
The driver, a 27-year-old Sydney woman, was charged with Stunting and issued a Summary Offence Ticket.
A few hours later, at approximately 1:20 p.m., while on patrol on Hwy. 125, police observed a vehicle heading east at a high rate of speed.
Police used their radar to confirm that the vehicle was travelling at 209 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone.
A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle pulled over.
The driver, a 22-year-old Sydney man, was charged with Stunting and issued a Summary Offence Ticket.
The man was also issued Summary Offence Tickets for Unsafely Changing Lanes, Having an Uninspected Vehicle and Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign.
A ticket for Stunting carries a fine of $2,422.50, along with an immediate 7-day suspension of your driver's license.
Both vehicles were seized and towed from the scene.
