No injuries in accident involving Richmond Co. school bus

A Cape Breton school bus was involved in a collision Tuesday afternoon.
Officials with the Strait Regional Centre for Education confirm at 1:10 p.m., there was an accident involving a school bus on Hwy. 104 in Louisdale.
They say the bus involved serves East Richmond Education Centre and there were eight students on board at the time of the accident.
A call was made to 9-1-1 and EHS, RCMP and SRCE Transportation staff responded.
Officials say all students and SRCE staff were assessed and released by EHS.
At this time, there are no reported injuries.
Deanna Gillis, Coordinator of Communications for the Strait Regional Centre for Education says the incident continues to be investigated.
"Based on the SRCE's initial investigation, the private vehicle collided into the back of the school bus.
A replacement bus was dispatched to the scene.
The RCMP and the SRCE’s Transportation staff are conducting an investigation into the accident."
The SRCE also reported the accident to the Motor Carrier Division.
