Mabou paving to be done this summer

Mabou, Inverness County will see seven kilometers paved this summer.

A contract to pave from the Mabou bridge to the Blackstone Road has been awarded to Northern Construction.

The work is expected to be completed this construction season.

Inverness MLA and Deputy Premier Allan MacMaster says roads like Route 19 are important to keep maintained.

“Route 19 connects many of our communities.

Divided highways are important, but so are our local roads.”

A three kilometer section of Route 19 in Strathlorne is also expected to be finished this construction season, now that local water and sewer infrastructure work has been completed.
