Mabou hockey player named UPEI Female Athlete of the Week

She can sing, strum the guitar and play hockey.
Every week, UPEI Athletics recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports.
The UPEI Panther Female Athlete of the Week for November 1st to 6th is Orianna MacNeil from Mabou, Cape Breton.
MacNeil is a first-year kinesiology student.
The Mabouer leads all Panther defenders with two goals and a plus/minus of +1.
MacNeil's hard shot was on full display this weekend as she scored her second goal of the season against Dalhousie and assisted on the other UPEI goal in the Panthers' 3-2 overtime loss.
Panthers Head Coach Sean Fraser says MacNeil is full of talent and she's a team player.
"Ori is really starting to come into her own.
She has great puck skills and is starting to learn what is going to work for her at the AUS and U-SPORTS level.
What I like most about Ori is her team spirit.
She is genuinely so excited to be part of the program.
She's excited to be part of the group, and her energy is infectious for both athletes and staff."
You'll be able to catch MacNeil play with UPEI when StFX hosts the Panthers November 26th.
