Cape Breton man charged after selling prescription pills at gas station

RCMP Northeast Traffic Services charged a Cape Breton man with drug offences.
On September 6th, RCMP received information about a man selling prescription pills at a gas station in Little Bras D’Or.
Officers attended the scene and located the man sitting in front of the gas station.
The man was safely arrested and during a search of the man, RCMP seized a number of prescription pills, including hydromorphone, a quantity of cash and a cell phone.

40-year-old John Leonard MacLean of Point Aconi has been charged with six counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
MacLean was released on conditions and will attend Sydney Provincial Court December 12th at 9:30 a.m.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
