24-year-old Inverness Co. man dead in Havre Boucher crash

Antigonish Co. RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred in East Havre Boucher.
On January 10th at 9:05 p.m., RCMP, fire and EHS responded to the crash on Hwy. 104.
Police learned that a transport truck was travelling west towards Antigonish, and a car was travelling east towards Cape Breton when they collided.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 24-year-old West Bay man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the transport truck, a 30-year-old man from Ontario, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Hwy. 104 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
RCMP say collision reconstructionist is at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
