14-year-old identified as Sydney robber

A 14-year-old faces charges for a Monday morning robbery at Terrace Convenience in Sydney.
Cape Breton Regional Police were called to the Terrace Street store at 11:00 a.m. on January 31st.
The store clerk says a male with a knife demanded money and ran down a trail in the direction of Acadia Drive.
Officers contained the area and
conducted a search with a K-9 team.
Cape Breton Regional Police received information about a possible suspect in a residence on Ranna Drive.
Officers responded and located a youth matching the clerk's description.
The 14-year-old was found by police and was in possession of a bag full of
cash.
The youth was arrested and after further
investigation was released on a promise to appear in Sydney Provincial Court on February 16th.
The teen faces two charges.
Robbery and possession of a weapon.
